BCB approves New Zealand series

Bangladesh Cricket Board officially approved a series against New Zealand in October at an executive committee meeting at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium yesterday. The meeting, chaired by President Nazmul Hasan Papon, endorsed the decision to host two Tests, three ODI’s and a T20 match. The series is likely to being on Tuesday, October 8, in Bangladesh as per the schedule of FTP. Another important decision made at the meeting was the approving to send injured pace bowler Najmul Hossain abroad for advanced treatment. Najmul sustained the injury on the tour of Sri Lanka and has been waiting for the board’s assistance in treating his knee since then. The meeting also approved an initial fund for starting the process of constructing an international standard stadium at Cox’s Bazar. In February, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina directed the civil aviation authority to hand over the coastal town's golf course to the Bangladesh Cricket Board.
