As many as three members of visiting Sri Lanka contingent has been tested covid-19 virus positive but the first match of the three-match ODI series is likely to take place on Sunday at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium.
It was learnt that cricketers Isharu Udana and Shehan Fernando along with their bowling coach Chaminda Vaas had tested positive as per a report on Saturday night. All three were isolated and a second test was done where Udana and Vaas returned with negative but Fernando’s one once again showed positive.
However, a BCB official, who requested anonymity, informed that the first ODI will take place as per ICC protocol by isolating the covid-positive personnel.
