Sports journalists based in Dhaka protested against the arrest and harassment of Prothom Alo senior reporter Rozina Islam Tuesday.
In the morning, journalists who went to Bangabandhu National Stadium to cover Bangladesh national football team's training staged a sit-in protest.
Reporters, photographers and cameramen from various media sat on the athletic turf to demonstrate support for the harassed journalist Rozina.
In the afternoon, reporters, photojournalists and videographers covering Bangladesh national cricket team training at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur took stance to demand justice for Rozina.
The journalists had a banner that said "Journalism in not a crime".

The journalists unanimously demanded immediate release of Rozina and that the perpetrators be brought to justice.
Health Ministry officials turned Rozina over to police Monday after locking her up at the office of Saiful Islam Bhuiyan, the personal secretary to health services division secretary.
The Prothom Alo reporter was later sued under the Official Secrets Act and the Penal Code for "theft and photographing" of official documents.
The detained journalist Tuesday was presented to the court which turned down police’s appeal to quiz Rozina in custody for five days.
She was later taken to the Kashimpur prison in Gazipur, where she will be detained until the next hearing of her bail petition Thursday.
