Bangladesh is measured one of the worst international cricket teams in terms of breaching the ICC code of  conducts . After the controversial ‘sandpapergate scandal’, where Australian players used unauthorized substances to shine balls during a Test match against South Africa, the governing body of world cricket has been strict with their code of conducts and since then no team has breached it per match than Bangladesh, according to ICC website, reported by Wisden.

So far, Bangladesh have breached nine times with a rate of 0.122 occurrences per match, the highest among the international teams. England, however, are the worst team with 12 breaches but their rate is 0.109 per match, slightly lesser than that of Tigers.

However, Bangladeshi players yielded lot lesser demerit points compare to other teams as they have got just nine demerit points from nine breaches. Sri Lanka, who have just four breaches, top the list with 24 demerit points while West Indies are on second with 16 demerit points from eight breaches.

As per the Wisden news, after Sri Lanka captain Dinesh Chandimal was accused of applying an artificial substance to the ball in a 2018 Test, Sri Lanka refused to take the field at the start of play on day three, leading to fears Test cricket could see its second forfeited game. While play did eventually resume, Sri Lanka were handed a total of 24 demerit points for the incident. A dozen of those were copped by Chandimal, for the initial offence as well as for his involvement in Sri Lanka’s refusal to resume play, while Chandika Hathurusingha and Asanka Gurusinha were each handed six demerit points.

On the other hand, Zimbabwe are the best behaved team as they have breached just one yielding a single demerit point so far.
