Bangladesh national cricket team reached Christchurch Wednesday for their more than a month-long bilateral series against hosts New Zealand.
The touring party as per the Covid-19 regulations will be in hotel quarantine for the first seven days.
According to a Bangladesh team official, the touring party members will have to be in room quarantine, and undergo three Covid-19 tests from day one to day six.
Negative result in the first test will allow the tourists to go out of the rooms but remain inside the hotel premises and take a walk in the lawn.
From day eight, the team, divided in five groups of seven members each, will be allowed to use the practice facilities.
From day 15, the contingent will be allowed to work as a unit and mix with local people.
Bangladesh in their first overseas tour since the Covid-19 pandemic will play three ODIs and as many T20s against the Kiwis.

ODI captain Tamim Iqbal before leaving Dhaka Tuesday expressed hope of breaking the team’s New Zealand record of not having won a single game in any format in a bilateral series.
Bangladesh till date have played hosts New Zealand in nine Tests, 13 ODIs and four T20s, and has never won one.
The series will begin on March 20 with the three-match ODI series in Dunedin.
The second and third ODI will be played in Christchurch and Wellington on March 23 and 26 respectively.
The three-T20 series will begin on March 28 in Hamilton with the second and third game taking place in Napier and Auckland on March 30 and April 1 respectively.
Bangladesh travelled to New Zealand with a 20-member squad.
The side are however, missing ace all-rounder Shakib al Hasan as the cricketer was granted leave to attend to his wife who is expecting their third child in the USA.
Bangladesh ODI captain Tamim Iqbal thinks the tour of New Zealand will be tough but not impossible to produce good results.

The last time Bangladesh visited New Zealand, the visitors had to return home without completing the series following the deadly terrorist attack at Christchurch mosques.
Two consecutive mass shootings occurred at mosques in a terrorist attack during Friday prayers on March 15, 2019.
The attack, carried out by a single gunman who entered both mosques, began at Al Noor Mosque in the suburb of Riccarton and continued at Linwood Islamic Center, killing 51 people and injuring 40.
Bangladesh cricketers touring Christchurch on the day were set to pray at Al Noor Mosque and were lucky to not find themselves in the incident just by a fraction.
The series was called off with the last game of the three-match Test series getting abandoned.
Bangladesh in the tour were whitewashed in the three-ODI series, and lost the first two Tests.
