From a powerful batting display against Pakistan in the first warm-up game on Saturday to a horrible collapse on Tuesday, the Tigers batsmen have seen the other side of the coin in just three days as they were skittled out for just 84 runs against India in the second and final practice match to face a huge 240-run defeat in London.
Preparation-wise, the game against India taught some harsh lessons to the Bangladesh cricketers as the Tigers received a reality check before heading to the 2017 Champions Trophy.First, with the ball, giving away too many loose deliveries cost the Bangladesh bowlers badly as India posted a huge total of 324 for the loss of seven wickets in 50 overs after makeshift skipper Shakib al Hasan opted to bowl under overcast conditions.
Among the lot, pacer Rubel Hossain was perhaps the only bowler to trouble the Indian batters initially as opening batsman Rohit Sharma played on off the former's very first ball in the second over of the innings. The quickie picked up two more scalps and finished with bowling figures of 3/50 from nine overs. Miraz gave away 39 from his nine overs, including a maiden in the 12th over.

In reply, the Tigers batsmen immediately faced the music from the in-form Indian pace bowling department. By the look of things, Karthik and the slip cordon were seemed extremely busy as one catch after another came in their direction.
Three Bangladesh batsmen were unable to open their account while the rest managed to score a few but never looked comfortable at any point of time. This will certainly give head coach Chandika Hathurusingha something to think about.
From openers Soumya Sarkar (two) and Imrul Kayes (seven), No 3 Sabbir Rahman (nought), Shakib (seven), all-rounder Mahmudullah (nought), youngster Mosaddek Hossain (nought) to stumper-batsman Mushfiqur Rahim (13), everyone surrendered helplessly in the face of some fierce Indian fast bowling display.

At the same time, it should also be mentioned that the type of defeat the Tigers have suffered before heading to the ICC flagship event is certainly not what the team management had in mind.BRIEF SCOREBangladesh 84 in 23.5 overs (Bhuvneshwar 3/13, Umesh 3/16) lost to India 324/7 (Karthik 94, Rubel 3/50) by 240 runs
