The dispute between Bangladesh cricketers and first class players and the Bangladesh Cricket Board got resolved on Wednesday night after the two parties met for a meeting at the BCB premises.
The announcement from both ends came around late Wednesday night.
The board accepted majority of the players’ demands and thus, the players decided to resume their regular activities as professional players by taking part in the National Cricket League and the national camp for the India tour.
But question remains as to just how much players have benefitted from this strike, and what will be the outcome from this movement in the long run.

Media were allowed to enter into the conference room of the BCB after the meeting between the players and BCB officials.
Majority of players seemed confused as their faces looked gloomy.
After the meeting, it was learnt that former national cricketer Shamsur Rahman was taunted by a security officer and subsequently, some players had a fiery exchange of words with that particular officer.
Later, a board director came to the scene and tried to resolve the matter.
Even after the announcement of the amicable agreement, the players again discussed among each other in the dressing room when the BCB officials or most of the media personnel had left the BCB premises.
It was learnt that players sat together to review the whole thing and discussed with each other about how to follow on with the commitment the BCB made.
A few players, particularly who are out of the national team, looked uncertain over some of the unfulfilled demands.
A few players believe, as they are out of limelight, the focus can shift once the time passes.
It was learnt that all the players vowed to stay united on their “fair demands” and will work together in future, just like they did in the last few days.

A senior player, seeking anonymity, informed, “We always want the improvement of our cricket. The way we have united for the betterment of our cricket is great; hopefully we will remain united in future as well. We have reviewed our demands after the meeting with BCB. Players like Shakib [al Hasan] or Tamim [Iqbal] will always get priority in the board. But players like us, who are out of the national team at the moment, we believe they will not be influenced by this and always stay together like this time and make sure that our demands are fulfilled in a proper way.”
It was also learnt that all the players will now focus on the NCL and national camp, scheduled to start from Saturday and Friday respectively.
What will be the ultimate outcome of the protest, only time will tell but at the moment, the players are slowly but surely getting back to their regular activities.

The national camp will get underway with the skill session at 3pm.
The Tigers will take on the Indians in three T20Is on November 3, 7 and 10 in Delhi, Rajkot and Nagpur while the two Test matches are slated for November 14-18 and 22-26 in Madhya Pradesh and Kolkata accordingly.
