Sylhet take first-innings lead

The tier two National Cricket League second-round game between Dhaka Metropolis and Sylhet is heading towards an exciting finish as the former made nine without loss in seven overs in their second innings, trailing the latter by 64 runs at Shaheed Chandu Stadium in Bogra.

Sylhet, who resumed Friday on 5/1 in four overs, were all out for 319 in 84.5 overs, thanks to half-centuries from wicketkeeper-batsman Zakir Hasan (71), Jaker Ali (71), opener Towfiq Khan (61) and skipper Alok Kapali (54).

Dhaka Metro left-arm paceman Abu Haider Rony led the way with a five-for, conceding 55 runs in 16.5 overs, including four maidens.

His fellow new ball partner Shahidul Islam took three wickets.
