Bangladesh A cricket team prevailed in a thriller as they brought parity in the three-match one-day series against their Sri Lankan counterparts after winning the second and penultimate game by one wicket at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo Thursday.
In the process, the second string Bangladesh side leveled the series 1-1 with the third and final match scheduled to be held Saturday at the same venue.
Chasing 227, the visiting side reached their destination in the last ball of the innings, largely thanks to opener Mohammad Naim, who laid the platform for victory with a fine 59-ball 68, featuring nine fours.
He was ably supported by captain Mohammad Mithun, who chipped in with 52 off 87 deliveries, including three fours and a six.
