Well-set Shakib al Hasan survived a big shout from Afghanistan in the fourth ball of the 13th over as the umpire turned down the appeal.
Rashid Khan decided to review the decision and while TV replays were displaying, one floodlight out of four in the stadium suddenly went out.
At the same time, the replays showed that the ball would have clipped the leg-stump but as 50% of the ball’s impact was outside the stumps, the original decision from the umpire, not out, remained and Shakib stayed at the crease.
All of these incidents were happening simultaneously.

The play was stopped for about 12-13 minutes due to floodlight failure.
Play stopped at 9:25pm local time and resumed around 9:39pm.
During that time, Afghan players regrouped to discuss their strategy while Bangladesh’s batting pair Shakib and Mahmudullah also set their plan to overcome the target.
