Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib al Hasan continued his red-hot form as he become the first man in the history to score over 500 runs and taking 10 plus wickets in a World Cup during his match against India at Edgbaston in Birmingham yesterday.
Shakib bowled brilliantly in the first innings and conceded only 41 runs in his stipulated ten overs while the other bowlers conceded almost six and above.
Shakib has taken 11 wickets so far from seven innings with an economy of 5.34 and strike rate of 34.9. His best figure came against Afghanistan at Southampton where he took five wickets conceding 29 runs.
During batting, Shakib picked up yet another half century as he made 66 off 74 balls to take his tally up to 542 runs. This is the sixth 50+ score (two centuries) for Shakib in the ongoing 2019 World Cup. Only Sachin Tendulkar has scored more 50 plus scores in a single edition (seven in 2003).
