Legends of Rupganj failed to extend their lead at the top as they lost to Lt. Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club Limited by four wickets in their Dhaka Premier League match in Fatullah Wednesday.
Rupganj had the golden opportunity to go four clear of Abahani but rued their missed chance as Sheikh Jamal instead emerged victorious.
Taking first guard, Rupganj were skittled out for a below-par 171 in 49.3 overs, Mohammad Naim (58) registering the only innings of significance.

Khaled Ahmed led the demolition act taking four wickets, while Taijul Islam took a couple.
In reply, Sheikh Jamal lost wickets at regular intervals early in their innings but Elias Sunny (58) and Tanbir Hayder (43 not out) ensured victory with nine balls to spare.
Sheikh Jamal are now fourth in the standing.
