Pacer Mashrafe bin Mortaza has achieved another milestone in his illustrious career as he crossed the landmark of taking 400 wickets in List A cricket.

Mashrafe is the second Bangladeshi bowler, after Abdur Razzak, to achieve the feat.

Razzak reached the landmark on March 27 playing for Prime Bank Cricket Club, while Mashrafe did it for Abahani Limited this season.

Mashrafe was on the verge of this milestone for quite some time.

He was one shy of the landmark weeks back but remained wicketless for Abahani in three matches.

He had to wait until Wednesday, against Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited, to become the second Bangladeshi to take 400 List A wickets.

Mashrafe ended the match with bowling figure of 3/40 in 8.3 overs.

The right-arm seamer is the leading wicket taker for the Tigers in ODIs with 258 wickets.

The world record of taking the highest number of wickets in List A cricket belongs to Pakistani great Wasim Akram, who has 881 scalps.

Another legendary fast bowler, South Africa’s Allan Donald is second on the list with 684 wickets.
