Left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak became the first Bangladeshi to join the 400-wicket club in List A cricket.

He achieved the milestone while playing for Prime Bank Cricket Club against Uttara Sporting Club at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka Wednesday.

Uttara Sporting opening batsman Anisul Islam Emon became Razzak’s 400th List A victim when he was cleaned up by the 36-year old.

En route to becoming the first ever Bangladeshi to take 400 List A wickets, he has taken nine five-wicket hauls, a national record.

The best ever List A bowling figure by a Bangladeshi also belongs to him as he took seven wickets conceding just 17 runs in 2004 against the Zimbabwe A team.

With 391 wickets, national ODI captain Mashrafe bin Mortaza is second in the list of highest List A Bangladeshi wicket-takers.

Razzak now has 403 wickets in 269 List A matches, to go with his 581 wickets in first-class cricket, and 99 scalps in T20s.

He is also the only Bangladeshi with 500 or more first-class wickets.
