The Dhaka Women’s Premier Division Cricket League is set to roll on the field from April 25.
The BCB women’s wing committee in a meeting Sunday came to the decision.
The players’ transfer of the female cricketers for the season will be held on April 20.
“Despite the willingness, we could not start the tournament earlier due to lack of good grounds. Thus we have come to the decision to have the Dhaka League for the female cricketers following the ongoing Dhaka League for men. That was, it becomes easy to get the grounds available,” BCB women's cricket wing development manager Nazmul Abedeen Fahim told the media Sunday.

Nazmul also said there will be a provision for the cricketers of the First Division Cricket League so that they can play the Premier league.
“Like men’s cricket, we have formulated a new rule, under which a string of cricketers from the First Class Cricket League will get the opportunity to play the premier league,” said the BCB official.
“We’ve prepared a list of 20-22 players from the First Class Cricket League with the help of the selector. They will be open for the teams to pick them for the looming premier league if they wish,” he added.
