Brother's Union defeated Uttara Sporting Club by eight wickets at Savar during their Dhaka Premier League fixture on Wednesday.
Mizanur Rahman of Brother’s scored a brilliant 108 and formed a huge 161-run opening stand with Junaid Siddique, who made 92, to chase down Uttara’s 264/8 with 10 balls and eight wickets to spare.
After the fall of Mizanur, who struck 10 fours and five sixes, Junaid continued the tempo and got another 93-run stand with Fazlu Mahmud (not out 57). Junaid fell short of his ton but almost made sure his side wins the match when he was dismissed in 47th over.

Earlier, Uttara openers Tanzid Hasan (75) and Anisul Islam Emon (58) also made a century stand after their skipper Mohimenul Islam won the toss.
Moheimenul, the two-down batsman scored 64 off just 51 balls to help his side get a good total on the board but on the day it was not enough against the Gopibag-based side.
Mizanur was the man-of-the-match for his century.
