Update : 18 Mar 2019, 10:42 PM

Fourth round of Dhaka Premier League will commence from Tuesday as defending champions Abahani Limited will face Shinepukur Cricket Club at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali stadium.

Both Abahani and Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited are leading the points table with nine points from three matches.

In the other matches of the day, Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi club will play against Prime Bank Cricket Club at BKSP 3 while Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited will face Legends of Rupganj at Mirpur’s Sher-e-Bangla national cricket stadium.

Shakib al Hasan will not play in the Dhaka Premier League, informed BCB President Nazmul Hasan. Shakib is on his way to becoming fully fit. Recently he got the No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) which will start from March 23. Shakib is playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad.

“Shakib wanted to play, he informed me about it earlier. His condition will be assessed by the doctors on March 20. To be honest, I don’t see any chance for Shakib to play in the Dhaka Premier League.  He was not even on the draft of players list,” informed BCB boss.

Meanwhile, Abahani all-rounder Mohammad Saifuddin suffered a slight injury as he was facing a back problem during the practice session on Monday. The all-rounder will be highly unlikely to take part in today’s game and his condition will be assessed ahead of the game by BCB doctors.
