Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited sealed a three-wicket win over Gazi Group Cricketers at BKSP Saturday.
Asked to bat first, Gazi Group were in danger of being skittled out for a low total as they were batting on 26 losing six wickets inside the ninth over.
However, fighting knocks from Touhid Tareq (56), Shamsul Islam (71 not out) and Abu Haider Rony (26) ensured they would have at least some total to defend as Gazi Group posted 182 before losing all of their wickets in 45.2 overs.
Mohammedan’s Shafiul Islam led the way with five wickets while Sohag Gazi notched two.

In reply, despite the fall of regular wickets at different stages of the innings, Mohammedan eventually reached their destination in 45.2 overs, skipper Raqibul Hasan top-scoring with an unbeaten 82.
Gazi Group’s Ruyel Mia and Kamrul Islam Rabbi picked up two wickets apiece.
Shafiul was named player of the match.
