Bangladesh U-19 cricket team are in the ascendancy after stumps on day three of their first four-day match against England U-19 at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chittagong Saturday.
Following the third and penultimate day’s play, England posted 89 runs losing six wickets in 49 overs, trailing Bangladesh by 29 runs ahead of the fourth and final day Sunday.
Asadullah Galib bagged three wickets for the home side, while Minhazur Rahman took two.
Amid the fall of regular wickets, opener Ben Charlesworth top-scored for the visiting side in the second innings with a painstaking 86-ball 20.

Earlier, Bangladesh, resuming their first innings on 266 for the loss of five wickets in 83 overs added 132 runs before losing their remaining five wickets in 38.5 overs.
There were as many as four half-centurions in Bangladesh’s innings – Shahadat Hossain (84), captain Akbar Ali (82), Parvez Hossain Emon (62), and Towhid Hridoy (61) – while opener Amit Hasan missed out on his fifty by just one run.
Hamidullah Qadri bagged two wickets for England.
