Comilla Victorians’ Tamim Iqbal credited the strategy of Bangladesh teammate and Rangpur Riders captain Mashrafe bin Mortaza after the former clinched BPL 6 following their victory over Dhaka Dynamites in the final at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka Friday.
The left-handed batsman smashed 10 fours and 11 sixes as the Victorians prevailed by 17 runs to lift their second ever BPL title.

“I was very tensed but I kept using Mashrafe bhai’s tactics. He keeps saying he will win. He repeats it all the time. Throughout the BPL, I copied his tactic. I kept saying that no matter what, we are winning,” said Tamim during the post-match press conference Friday.
“I get tensed before a game, especially when the responsibility is with me. So I decided to be positive all the way. You know owners can be emotional but not for a minute did I tell them that we will lose. The credit goes to Mr Mortaza,” he added.
