Top-order batsman Imrul Kayes has been included in this year’s central contract list, while opener Liton Das received a category promotion as the BCB announced the latest list for the 2019 season Saturday.
Imrul was included in category A while Liton was promoted to category B from last year’s rookie category.
Twelve players were given central contracts, while five cricketers were named in the rookie category, including four new faces – pacer Abu Jayed, spinner Nayeem Hasan, all-rounder Saifuddin and pacer Khaled Ahmed.
From last year’s list, only Nazmul Hossain Shanto was excluded (from rookie category).

Five senior cricketers have been retained in the A+ category - ODI captain Mashrafe bin Mortaza, Test and T20I captain Shakib al Hasan, opener Tamim Iqbal and middle-order batsmen Mushfiqur Rahim and Mahmudullah.
Cricket’s regulatory body in the country announced the central contract list in a press conference after their general meeting.
The latest contract list runs from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019.
