Mustafiz in ICC ODI team of the year

Bangladesh fast bowler Mustafizur Rahman has been selected in the ICC ODI team of the year. The Tigers left arm pacer has had an excellent 2018 as he put his past injury woes behind and took 29 wickets at an average of 21.72.

The 23-year old, who is an extremely potent bowler with his plethora of cutters was at his very best during the Asia Cup in 2018 where he took ten scalps at an average of 18.5 and played a big role in getting an injury ravaged Bangladesh through to the final.

The rest of the team has been dominated by England and Indian players as these two are the number one and two in the ODI rankings. 

The team is captained by Virat Kohli and the right-handed batsman was in prolific run scoring form - 1,202 runs at an astounding average of 133.55 with six hundreds in 14 ODIs - to lead the team and had fellow countrymen Rohit Sharma, Kuldeep Yadav and Jaspreet Bumrah in it. 

England saw Jonny Bairstow, Joe Root, Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes make the team while from New Zealand Ross Taylor and from Afghanistan Rashid Khan complete the eleven.
