Three dropped catches off Miraz’s bowling
Youngster Mehedi Hasan Miraz took two wickets in the second innings on day four. But the off-spinner might consider himself unlucky as three catches (that of Dimuth Karunaratne, Dinesh Chandimal and Dilruwan Perera) and were dropped of his bowling. The first incident happened in the last ball of the sixth over when Shakib al Hasan dropped an easy catch at cover. The second chance was missed by slip fielder Soumya Sarkar in the last ball of the 49th over. The third one was comparatively tougher then the previous two. Perera attempted a six in the 61st over, coming out of his crease. Mahmudullah ran back to his left, got his hands up but tipped it over the midwicket boundary after falling down.Liton's sharp catch
Liton Kumar Das is playing as a specialist wicket-keeper after Mushfiqur Rahim was asked to give up keeping and concentrate more on his batting. Behind the stumps, Liton’s performance was convincing right throughout the Test. And he continued in the same vein on Friday, taking a screamer. The incident happened in the third ball of the 61st over. Miraz bowled a regulation delivery and batsman Niroshan Dickwella went for a reverse sweep. The batsman was trying to guide it through the third man region. The stumper stuck his left glove out, reacting quickly to grab the ball. He quickly brought his other hand to play to make sure he held onto the catch.
