This is Mominul’s seventh Test century with his other six scored against Sri Lanka (thrice), Zimbabwe and New Zealand (twice).
“I have learned a lot from this century. This century is very interesting among all the other hundreds I have scored so far. I had to bat with a lot of effort and concentration out there. Because the wicket was difficult with uneven bounce. So this century is much more tough than the others. I can rate this century as of my best,” said Mominul to the media during the post-day press conference after day one of the second and final Test match at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Dhaka Sunday.
At stumps on day one, wicketkeeper-batsman Mushfiq was unbeaten on 111 while captain Mahmudullah was not out on nought.
