Left-arm paceman Mustafizur Rahman is likely to return to action through Bangladesh A team’s home series against Sri Lanka A side.
It is understood that Mustafizur, who is recovering from a toe injury sustained during his tenure with IPL T20 franchise Mumbai Indians earlier this year, will either joint the squad in the next few days or ahead of the second four-day game where he will take the field, fitness permitting.
If not then the Satkhira lad will play the last game of the three-match four-day series.
Mustafizur was sidelined for several weeks and missed the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan, which Bangladesh lost 3-0.
“He might join the squad in the next few days and practise with the team. If everything goes well then he will play the second four-day game in Cox’s Bazar, starting July 3,” informed a BCB source to Dhaka Tribune Saturday.

Apart from Mustafizur, the Bangladesh A team will also feature national cricketers in the shape of Soumya Sarkar, Sabbir Rahman and Mosaddek Hossain.
Veteran batsman Tushar Imran is set to make a return to the national pipeline through the series.
He is expected to take the field in the four-day matches, a reward for his hard work and consistent performances in the domestic circuit.
Meanwhile, visiting Sri Lanka A team reached Bangladesh Saturday for the three four-dayers and as many one-dayers against host Bangladesh.
The opening game of the four-day series will be played at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Cricket Stadium in Chittagong from June 26, instead of Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar.

Due to prevailing inclement weather in Cox’s Bazar, the BCB made the change of venue.
The second and third four-day matches will be held at SKICS and Sylhet International Cricket Stadium respectively. The second game will begin on July 3 while the third match is scheduled to start on July 10 at SICS.
The three one-day games will be played on July 17, 19 and 22 respectively. All the matches will be played in Sylhet.
