Rumana, Kubra improve T20I rankings

Bangladesh women cricketers made significant leaps in their individual ranking following the side’s historic three-wicket win over India in the Asia Cup T20I 2018 final Sunday at Kinrara Oval in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 

Player of the final Rumana Ahmed rose six places to No 12 in the T20I all-rounders’ ranking. Rumana played a crucial role in Bangladesh’s success in the grand finale against six-time Asia Cup champion India with an important 22-ball 23. 

She also bagged two wickets conceding 22 runs in her quota of four overs. Rumana finished the six-nation regional tournament with six international wickets and a batting average of 37.5.

Meanwhile, spinner Khadija-tul Kubra achieved career-best 537 rating points, and moved six places up to No 13 in the T20I bowling chart. Kubra picked up four wickets in five games in the Asia Cup.
