Bangladesh women’s cricket team, the newly crowned champion of the Asia Cup T20I 2018, are scheduled to return home Monday evening. US Bangla flight BS 316 is scheduled to bring in the triumphant girls from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
The Bangladesh women cricketers upon their arrival will directly join a prescheduled BCB Iftar programme at a local hotel in Dhaka. The Tigresses stunned the cricket world defeating six-time Asia Cup champion India by three wickets in a nail-biting final at Kinrara Oval Sunday.

Having earned the country’s first ever major multi-nation title, men or women, the Bangladesh team will be felicitated by the board. The BCB in a meeting prior to Iftar is likely to decide on the reward for the champion side.
No 9 ranked Bangladesh travelled to Kuala Lumpur with the hope of putting in a decent performance and qualifying for the final of the six-nation tournament. They began their campaign with a defeat against their Sri Lanka counterpart. However, the Tigresses then bounced back strongly winning five consecutive games against Pakistan, India, Thailand, Malaysia, and again against India in the final, to lift the championship.
