Women’s squad named for Asia Cup T20I

Bangladesh earlier this month toured South Africa where the visiting side were whitewashed in both the ODI and T20I series

The BCB Wednesday announced a 15-member Bangladesh squad for the ACC Women’s Asia Cup T20I 2018.

Veteran all-rounder Salma Khatun has been named as the captain of the side which will participate in the tournament, to be held in Kuala Lumpur from June 3-10. The Bangladesh women are scheduled to leave Dhaka for Kuala Lumpur Friday.

Bangladesh will begin their campaign against Sri Lanka at Royal Selangor Club Sunday. In the second game, the women in red and green will face their Pakistan counterpart Monday at Kinrara Oval. Wednesday, Bangladesh will take on giant India. Bangladesh in their last two leagues matches will take on Thailand and host Malaysia on June 7 and 9 respectively.

The final of the six-nation tournament will be held on June 10 at Kinrara Oval.
