Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal will leave here for London Saturday for the exhibition match at Lord’s, scheduled for Thursday, where he will feature for the ICC World XI against the West Indies.
The match is being organised to raise funds for stadias in the Caribbean which were damaged due to hurricanes last year.
The ICC has already accredited the game as T20I status.
Tigers all-rounder Shakib al Hasan was also supposed to play the game but pulled out later citing personal reason.
Meanwhile, Bangladesh will play three T20Is against Afghanistan on June 3, 5 and 7 respectively in Dehradun, India.
Tamim will be available for the Tigers against the Afghans following his participation in the exhibition match.
