According to chief BCB physician, Dr Debashish Chowdhury, Mahmudullah has not picked up any new injury, rather it is a recurrence of an old injury. “The injury is not that serious and we do not need to have him undergo medial scan. We have asked him to take rest for a day or two. We will go for further treatment if there is no sufficient recovery,” informed Dr Debashish to the media Monday. A good number of national cricketers including the likes of Tamim Iqbal, Taskin Ahmed and Mehedi Hasan Miraz are missing from action in the franchise-based four-day tournament due to different injuries.
