Ashwin, with ball in hand, got his wish fulfilled as a smiling Mushfiq put his signature on the ball with which the former dismissed the latter for his 250th Test wicket.
The off-spinner achieved the landmark in his 45th match, thus becoming the quickest to join the 250-club. He surpassed the previous best of 48, set by legendary Australia fast bowler Dennis Lillee.
The 30-year old now has 254 wickets at an average of 25.04.
