Bangladesh team technical director Khaled Mahmud informed that he is happy with the fitness of his players and said they will be prepared before the tri-nation series comprising Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe.
“The 50-over match is very important format for us. It’s a different ball game and temperament in the 50-over format. We will play another practice match to get back that temperament among our players. It’s important for our batsmen to get some runs. Tamim is in good form and others are also scoring some runs. It’s also important to field for 50 overs out there. Bowlers only bowled four-over spells in the BPL. So it’s important for them to back in rhythm for the ODI format,” Mahmud said to the media at MSBNCS.
“We have enough firepower and strength in our squad. We have plenty of options in spin and pace bowling. We will place our playing XI considering the opponent and condition. I am happy with the fitness of the players. We still have seven days left to prepare ourselves against Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe,” he added.
