Jalal: We won’t rush to find new coach

Update : 11 Nov 2017, 08:55 PM
BCB director and former media and communications committee chairman Jalal Younus informed that they have held discussion with Bangladesh head coach Chandika Hathurusingha but said the Sri Lankan’s decision to resign has not been made official yet. “He (Hathurusingha) had discussion with our CEO (Nizamuddin Chowdhury) over telephone. But whether he will join us or not, that is not clear. If he does want to return and the decision is final then we will try to find a new coach. In that case, we will not rush on finding a new coach. It may take one-two months. We will find a coach who can cope with our sub-continental condition. In the meantime, local coach can take over responsibility,” said Jalal to the media at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium Saturday. “If Hathurusingha does not return, then we will go for a new coach. Selecting a good coach is not an easy decision. And there are a lack of such kinds of professional coaches as well. So we are planning to take time on the issue,” he added.
