Comilla Victorians begin final preparation for BPL T20 2017

BPL T20 franchise Comilla Victorians began their final preparation Wednesday in Sylhet ahead of the fifth edition of the money-spinning tournament, scheduled to get underway Saturday in the north-eastern city. Comilla, who won the third edition of the cash-rich competition, became the first team to arrive in Sylhet last week. The Victorians initially started training at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium with local cricketers as foreign players in the form of England's Jos Buttler and Afghanistan's Rashid Khan and Mohammad Nabi only arrived Tuesday. West Indies trio Marlon Samuels, Darren Bravo and Dwayne Bravo set foot in Sylhet Wednesday night.Local coach Mohammad Salahuddin, who is the head coach of Comilla, will oversee the franchise's final stage of preparation as they bid to reclaim the title from holder Dhaka Dynamites. The Victorians will play two matches in their Sylhet-leg of the BPL. They will play their first game against Sylhet Sixers Sunday before taking on Chittagong Vikings two days later.Icon and captain Tamim Iqbal will sit out the first few matches for Comilla due to injury.
