He added, “The tour was challenging. We had the opportunity of drawing the first Test but we couldn’t. I think before embarking on such a tour in future, we have to undertake more preparation. “Bangladesh have been playing well in the last two years. That is why we shouldn’t judge the team based on one tour only. The South Africa tour is hard for every team. I think we have many things to learn from this tour. The Tigers returned home Tuesday following their disappointing tour of South Africa, where they suffered clean sweeps in the Test match, ODI and T20I series.
Bangladesh barely put up any fight, with the exception of the first T20I at Mangaung Oval in Bloemfontein Thursday, and lost all the games, including the practice matches.
Following their arrival, team manager Minhajul Abedin Nannu, who also happens to be the chief national selector said, “Our fast bowlers have to play more first-class games. They have to learn the skill of bowling long spells. We will work on this for the next one year.”
