Mominul replaces injured Tamim in T20I squad

Bangladesh have announced a 14-member squad for the two-match T20I series against South Africa Saturday. No players have been added to the squad that is already contesting the ODI series in South Africa. Opener Tamim Iqbal and Mustafizur Rahman will not participate in the T20I series due to injury. Pacer Shafiul Islam has come back to the squad replacing the injured Mustafizur while batsman Mominul Haque has been recalled in place of the ailing Tamim. The last time Bangladesh played a T20I was against Sri Lanka in April this year. That squad contained four players more players in the form of pacer Subashish Roy, wicketkeeper-batsman Nurul Hasan, youngster Mosaddek Hossain and spinner Sanjamul Islam. But the team management this time around has decided not to take any extra player for the South Africa T20Is.

Team manager Minhajul Abedin Nannu, who also happens to be the chief national selector, has confirmed the squad.
