Shakib overtaken by Hafeez as top all-rounder

Mohammad Hafeez has toppled Shakib Al Hasan from his number one spot in the International Cricket Council One Day International all-rounder rankings. The Pakistan all-rounder reclaimed the spot for the ninth time as the Bangladesh ace slumped to the second spot with 345 points, while Hafeez has 360 points at the top.Shakib bowled 18 overs in two innings in the ongoing ODI series against South Africa so far and took only two wickets conceding 108 runs. Shakib scored 29 and 4 in the first two ODIs. Shakib passed a decent year with the bat in 2017 as he scored 367 in 11 innings this year with an average of 33.36. But with the ball his performance is below-par as he took only 6 wickets in 11 innings this year. Despite losing the top all-rounder spot, the left-arm spinner advanced to the 19th spot in the ICC bowler rankings. Fellow compatriot pacer Rubel Hossain has climbed seven ranks to the 61st spot. AB de Villiers claimed the top spot in the batsmen rankings after his explosive 176 runs from 104 balls in the second ODI against the tigers. He hit seven six and fifteen fours.Bangladesh Test skipper Mushfiqur Rahim climbed five spots to the number 18 spot.Babar Azam's blistering performance against Sri Lanka in the ODI series has earned him his career best 4th spot in the batsmen rankings. The two Proteas openers also climbed up the rankings, Hashim Amla is at the 9th spot, and Quinton de Kock is 5th in the rankings. With 9 wickets in the series against Sri Lanka, the Pakistan right-arm pacer Hasan Ali has claimed the top spot in the bowler rankings, climbing 6 positions.
