Tamim uncertain for first South Africa Test

Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal's participation in the first Test match against South Africa has been thrown into doubt after it was revealed that he is suffering from a grade one tear in his left leg muscle. The left-handed batsman got to know about this injury setback following scans on his left leg on Friday.

This kind of injury usually takes seven to 10 days to be fully healed. In that case, the Tigers might play the first Test, scheduled to get underway on Thursday at Senwes Park, Potchefstroom, without Tamim. Tamim incurred the injury while batting against Cricket South Africa XI during the three-day warm-up match at Willowmoore Park, Benoni on Thursday.
