Update : 11 Feb 2016, 07:07 AM

The West Indies Under-19 Team have reached the final of ICC Under 19 World Cup beating Bangladesh by 3 wickets in their semi-final.

Junior Tigers scored 226 runs losing nine wickets in 50 overs against the visiting West Indies. In reply, West Indies scored 230 runs losing 7 wickets in 48.4 overs.

Shamar Springer was the Man of the Match.

Earlier in the day, Bangladesh captain Mehedi Hasan Miraz opted to bat first winning the toss.

The match was held at Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Thursday.

Miraz thought it was a good track to bat on and they would look to score at least 250 to put West Indies under pressure.

He made one change by bringing in offspinner Mosabbek Hossain for left-arm spinner Ariful Islam who went wicketless against Nepal in the quarter-final.

West Indies captain Shimron Hetmyer was not too bothered about bowling first and he fielded an unchanged side from their quarter-final against Pakistan.
