Comilla reach final beating Rangpur

Comilla Victorians have reached final beating Rangpur Riders by 72 runs in the first match of qualifying stage of Bangladesh Premier League.

Victorians managed to score 163 runs losing seven wickets in the 20 overs. In reply, Rangpur Riders were all out for 91 runs in 17 overs.

Ashar Zaidi picked four while Abu Hider three wickets of Rangpur Riders.

Rangpur side's LMP Simmons scored 25 runs before he was bowled out.

Imrul Kayes and Liton Das opened the innings for Victorians.

Saqlain Sajib sent opener Liton Das back to the pavilion for 28 runs.

Mashrafe promoted himself up the order in 11th over after Liton Das was out but Perera dismissed him only for 1 run in the 13th over. Then Perera picked the wickets of Imrul Kayes, AD Russell, Ahmed Shehzad and Alok Kapali.

Imrul Kayes scored 67 runs while Ashar Zaidi scored 40 runs for the Victorians.

Earlier, Rangpur Riders won the toss and elected to field.
