Bangladesh have cruised over English by 14 runs at the BKSP ground No. 3 in the 5-nation tournament for the cricketers with physical disabilities.
The hosts scored 117 for 8 after electing to bat first and restricted England within 103 for 7.
A tremendous all round performance by Drupam Patranabish Tirtho set Bangladesh off to the winning start in the competition.
Chasing 118, England lost an early wicket but Jamie Goodwin and Callum Flynn keep the spirit in chase.
Khan sent Goodwin (31) back to the pavilion and Tirtho picked up Flynn (33) to bring tigers back in the game.
Tirtho picked up 3 wickets for 12 runes.
During tiger’s innings, Apurbo Kumar Paul (22) and Alam (19) initiated a solid start.
Tirtho (17) and Monirujjaman (14) helped to set the target.
Flynn took two wickets for England.
The five- nation tournament has been arranged by the International Committee of the Red Cross along with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protishthan and Bangladesh Cricket Board.
