Proteas win first T20 against Tigers

South Africa have won the  first T20 match of two-match series by 52 runs against Bangladesh in Sher-E-Bangla National Stadium in the capital's Mirpur.

Bangladesh scored 96 runs in 18.5 overs in the chase of a modest target of 149 set by visiting South Africa.

In the first innings, South Africa scored 148 runs losing four wickets.

South Africa captain Faf du Plessis scored 79 runs to help steady their innings.

Arafat Sunny picked up two wickets while Shakib al Hasan and Nasir Hossain claimed one each.

Earlier, South Africa won the toss and decided to bat. The match began at 1pm on Sunday.
