Mustafizur five lifts Tigers to opening win

Bangladesh made its first victory against India in the 3-match ODI encounters as they won the game in Mirpur by 79 runs.

India lost all their wickets in the first ODI match at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium while chasing the mammoth target.

This is Bangladesh's joint-second-largest win against a Test team and their ninth straight win at home.

Shakib took the last wicket of Yadav, providing the finishing touch with an lbw with an arm ball.

Mortaza dismissed Mohit Sharma, and it was a caught by Rahim. Rahim might have dropped two earlier in the night, but he has taken a brilliant one finally.

Mustafizur Rahman stopped Ravindra Jadeja at 32 that has given him his fifth wicket. The Bangladeshi bowler earlier sent Ashwin back to the pavilion. Ashwin has gone for a duck.

Mustafizur also took the wickets of Raina, Rahane and Rohit Sharma. A wonderful debut for Mustafizur Rahman. He became the second Bangladeshi bowler to pick a 5-wicket haul on debut. He got the Man of the Match title for his outstanding performance against the visitors while Soumya Sarkar is the Smart Player and Taskin Ahmed the Best Performer.

Shakib Al Hasan earlier picked the wicket of Dhoni when the Indian batsman scored only 5 runs for his team while Taskin Ahmed took both the wickets of Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan.

The Tigers were all out for 307 runs, their highest total against India in ODIs. The quick 102-run opening partnership between Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar formed the centerpiece.

MM Sharma dismissed Mashrafe for 21 and Taskin was caught by Kohli from Kumar's ball. Yadav took the wickets of Shakib (52) and Nasir (34).

Jadeja broke the strong stand of Shakib Al Hasan and Sabbir Rahman. Sabbir was out at 41.

Shakib-Sabbir stand helped Tigers to recover from the mid-innings fall.Tigers were under pressure after Ashwin took three quick wickets of Mushfiqur, Liton and Tamim. Soumya Sarkar was run out by Suresh Raina at 54.

The play, which was interrupted by rain, resumed at 5:10pm on Thursday. Earlier in the day, Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat first.

The one-off Test between Bangladesh and India was drawn at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium in Fatullah.

Bangladesh and India have encountered each other 29 times in one day international before the match, out of which India won 25 matches, Bangladesh came to win in 3 matches and the other match was unsolved.
