Bangladesh Sports Press Association was named Monday as the best organization for sports journalists in Asia.
BSPA president Sanat Babla and general secretary Samon Hossain received the award on behalf of the organization at the 24th AIPS Asia Congress in Seoul, South Korea.
Sports journalists' organizations from a total of 30 countries were under consideration for the award for different activities last year.
Like the previous years, 2022 was also a busy one for BSPA, who hosted the 60-year anniversary with a colorful ceremony where the 10 all-time best Bangladeshi sportspersons were honored, which was praised highly at the AIPS Asia Congress.
Nepal's Sports Journalist Forum came second best.
