A friendly football match between supporters of Brazil and Argentina was held on Friday afternoon on the Goalondo Kamrul Islam College ground in Rajbari, just before the Fifa World Cup 2022 in Qatar.
In the match, the Brazil fans beat the Argentina supporters 1-0.
Golando Daulatdia Model High School Assistant Teacher Shamim Sheikh, Uzanchar Model Government Primary School Head Teacher Babar Ali, Chittagong District Children and Youth Sports Welfare Association President Salahuddin Jewel, Rajbari District Children and Youth Sports Welfare Association President Sajjad Hossain, Goalondo Ad-Din Krishi Bhandar Owner and Young Agricultural Entrepreneur Humayun Ahmed, among others, participated in the game.
Sajjad Hossain, the organizer of the match, said: "The whole world is excited ahead of the football World Cup. We arranged the match to spread the joy of the event.”
After four long years, the Fifa World Cup is all set to hold its 2022 edition when the first ball is kicked at 10pm Bangladesh time on Sunday, as hosts Qatar take on Ecuador at Al Bayt Stadium.
