The government has decided to extend the suspension of all kind of sports activities across the country for indefinite period to curb the Covid-19 outbreak.
The Ministry for Youth and Sports issued a press release in this regard Saturday carrying the quotes of State Minister Jahid Ahsan Russel.
“We have to make awareness among the people to avoid social gathering. Any kind of sports pave the way for gathering. So, all kind of sports are suspended until situation gets normal,” said the State Minister.
Earlier on March 16, the government decided to defer all kind of sports activities until March 31 but the Covid-19 cases have only been increasing since then.
