Sunnydale School reached the finals of the boys’ and girls’ section of the Polar Ice Cream 26th School Handball Tournament 2019 after winning their respective semifinal matches at Shaheed M Mansur Ali Stadium at capital’s Paltan Tuesday.
Sunnydale boys’ team, who defeated St Gregory’s by 32-15 in the first semifinal, will face Residential Model School & College, who beat Shaheed Police Smrity College 18-15 in the other semi, in the boys’ final Wednesday.
Sunnydale girls’ team outplayed Kadamtala Purbo Basabo School & College 13-1 to reach the final where they will play Viqarunnisa Noon School & College who beat Scholastica (Uttara) 9-4 in the other semifinal.
The girls’ final will be held at 1pm followed by the boys’ final at 3.15pm at the same venue.
