Maria Nur returns to acting

Although Maria Nur has been extremely busy lately with her anchoring endeavours, she is set to return to acting after a one-year hiatus. Recently, she finished shooting for the TV drama titled Dampatya, which is an episode of Lux Bhalobasar Sourabh-er Golpo. A directorial venture of Tauquir Ahmed, the drama stars Maria Nur and Siam Ahmed in the lead. Talking about her return to acting, the sizzling star said, “I love anchoring, and on the other hand, I rarely work in TV dramas. This series seems exciting. Besides, it would be great to work with the director Tauquir Ahmed, which was another reason for me to sign up for this.” The story of Dampatya revolves around a newly wed couple. There are six other episodes in the series which are set to air on RTV at 10:10pm all throughout the seven days of Eid-ul Adha. Maria also wrapped up a TV commercial for a tea brand recently. She currently anchors Sera Kantho on Channel i, Late Night Coffee on RTV and a sports show Cricket 360 Degree on GTV, among many others.
