The US presidential election is only two weeks away, but that didn’t halt Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton from paying a surprise visit to Adele’s Miami concert last Tuesday night. Her visit did not go in vain as the record-tying Grammy award winner took a moment between songs to announce her support for Clinton’s campaign.
“I am English, but what happens in America affects me too,” Adele told the audience. She added: “Don’t vote for him. ... I can’t vote, but I am 100 percent for Hillary Clinton. I love her, she’s amazing.”
Apparently, Hillary Clinton has no shortage of singing celebrity supporters — Jay Z, Demi Lovato, Elton John, Katy Perry are just a few among many. She can now add Adele to that list.
The love isn’t lost on Clinton, who earlier this year told Miami Beach Mayor Philip Levine on his SiriusXM show that Adele “is my go-to voice” when asked what kind of music she’d play if she had her own SiriusXM channel. “I have such huge admiration for her skills, her ability, and her personality,” Clinton told Levine.
