To the delight of the aficionados of the book series, it is finally happening, confirmed sources. According to reports, the film is being written by the same author behind Legally Blonde and 10 Things I Hate About You. Kirsten Kiwi Smith, who also has Ella Enchanted and The House Bunny to her credit, is working on a script along with Harper Dill, who is a writer on TV show The Mick. The Sweet Valley High series revolved around the lives of identical twin sisters, Jessica and Elizabeth Wakefield, as they navigate high school, friendship, love, and much drama, over the course of more than 100 novels.  The actors who donned the role of the twin sisters in the TV series, Brittany and Cynthia Daniels turned 40 last year and often pose for photos together on their popular joint Instagram account.
